Tami is finally home again. It was a long 24 hours for us. Heather and I slept better then we thought we would. I got up this morning at about 6:30, which for me is sleeping in. I researched some more reviews on the alpha 55. Then at about 8am I went and got two pumpkin spice lattes for Heather and I. Came home just in time as Heather was waking up and gave her her coffee. :)
We pretty much just hung out at home till noon. We headed out to Petco to get Tami a new leash and collar, since the old ones are 4 years old and dirty. Petco did not have what we liked so we headed to Pet Smart. There we found a new leather leash but could not settle on a good collar. With a new leash in hand we headed to the vet to pick up our baby.
Once we got there I was feeling very excited and antsy to get her back home. We went in and the tech took us back to her kennel. The tech opened up the door and Tami quickly got up and out of the kennel to great us. She was shaking a bit and not showing any pain. Her now stump of a leg looked rough, but the vet had told us it would look rough. Tami started walking right away. I couldn't believe it! Tami walked a bit and then settled down and sat down. The tech put a towel down under her stump to add in comfort.
I then puled the car in back of the vet office to make it easier to get her in the car while they instructed Heather on how to take care of her and when to giver her her meds.
Tami walked out to the car with the help of one of the techs. She held a towel around Tami's waist to give support. Tami walked up to the Jeep and just like old times proceeded to jump in to the back seat. both Heather and I were very happy. I went back into the office and paid the bill. Then we headed home.
When we got home Heather went ahead of me into the house to get her bed ready. I got Tami out of the car and she walked to the house. I used the towel to support her while she walked. She pottied outside and then we brought her inside to her bed and feed and watered her. At that time she finally started to relax. She knew she was home. :)
So now we have been sitting next to our dog and tending to her needs. I am looking forward to quick recovery.
Till next time,
Blog you later
